My Reason

For a while, I didn't feel true to myself or my craft. Typo Imagery had become something I no longer recognized; it felt like a chore, a dreaded task. I didn't feel like an artist or storyteller—just a random person with a camera. After taking some time off, I'm glad to be feeling more positive about what I create. I'm no longer worried about whether people will like and share what I put out or will support my business; I'm creating simply because I want to and believe in what I'm putting out.

My journey in photography and videography began with a simple goal: to support, showcase, and celebrate dope shit. I wanted to highlight the incredible talent, passion, and dedication found in our neighborhoods. What drives me is seeing people invest countless hours in their craft, and I'm inspired to capture their stories through moving pictures and images. I'm glad I've returned to a path that is true to me and true to all of you.

I am a Burundian American photographer and video creator based in Gresham, OR. From a young age, I had a deep fascination with cameras, always finding excuses to take photos, and my passion for photography grew over time. In March 2020, just as the pandemic was starting, I bought my first DSLR camera. With the extra time on my hands, I immersed myself in learning everything about it and capturing anything and everything that caught my eye.

As I continue to grow my business and skills, I recognize that I will always be a student of the art of visual storytelling. I will always be learning new ways to do what I enjoy, moving forward while staying true to myself and the people I serve. I am grateful for every opportunity and excited for what the future holds.
